Welcome

We're Your Independent Living Resource Centre for Thunder Bay and the Northwestern Ontario Region

Your ILRC Thunder Bay has been proudly providing a wide range of programs and services to all persons with disabilities and our regional community for more than 25 Years. To celebrate this anniversary milestone, we've held events that remind us of our past and the amazing CHOICE, FLEXIBILITY and CONTROL that Independent Living brings to all persons with disabilities everywhere.

If you already know about your ILRC, you know we are working hard to make sure our programs and services reflect our commitment to you; our participants and friends! We continue to hone and change ourselves to meet the individual and unique needs of our participants.

Visiting us here on our website or joining us on Facebook, will always provide you with the most up-to-date information about your Centre; but what we'd really like is for you to visit us in person anytime for real interaction and involvement with everything your ILRC has to offer.

Some great news! The newest employment program at ILRC is soon to start. Beginning MAY 25, 2015 this new initiative greatly expands upon and increases our capacity to provide employment programming to persons with disabilities in Thunder Bay. FAST for Employment replaces our historically successful Creating Employability Options (CEO) Program, and refocuses our committments to providing a fresh approach to employment assistance. While similar to our now retired program, FAST For Employment seeks to assist with providing services to those actively and directly seeking employment - and getting them connected as quickly as possible.
